Q: How did you first hear of Rachel Jasmine Studio and what made you want to book with us?
A: I was never looking for a photographer for anything close to this. Instead, one of my trans sisters recommended that I do a shoot like this as a kind of self love. Liking the idea, I took the the interwebs and began my research on who was the best photographer around. After looking through hundreds of pictures and dozens of sites, I picked Rachel for her attention to detail, kindness, and acceptance of the LGBT community.
Q: What was your initial reason for booking?
A: Knowing that I’m going under for a major surgery in January, I wanted to end my time in this body with some self love (and a Christmas gift for my wife!)
Q: Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?
A: Going up to the shoot, I was filled with anxiety and the nerves were hitting hard. I had some killer starbucks that morning and was able to walk into the shoot with nothing in my head. No stories, no expectations, just a blank slate to see what happened, and I was blown away by the experience.
Q: What was it like seeing your images for the first time?
A: I did the reveal with my wife as a surprise because I wanted them to pick the pictures for their christmas gift with me. I was barely able to recognize myself, and for the first time in my life I felt truly beautiful.
Q: Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?
A: In terms of what has changed for me since my boudoir experience, I have far more self love than I used to. It has really cemented my body image and allowed me to see me in a way that I could only have dreamed of. I am so excited for the next step of my life and getting this shoot done has only made it more clear to me where I need to go next.
Q: Would you recommend Rachel Jasmine Studio for the luxury boudoir experience to others?
A: Actually, I would only recommend Rachel. Period. This is more than just a photo shoot, its an experience in both loving and empowering yourself.
Q: What advice would you give to another woman considering the boudoir experience with Rachel Jasmine Studio?
A: If you’re on the fence, hop off and get it done. Book it, do it, and love it. The only thing standing between you and seeing one of the purest versions of yourself is you.
Q: Is there anything else you’d like to add to your interview?
A: Knowing that I’m making a major life change, I can’t wait for the next session next year.
