Q: How did you first hear of Rachel Jasmine Studio and what made you want to book with us?
A: I think it was probably on Facebook a few years ago. I thought about it at the time, then put it on the back burner for later consideration.
Q: What was your initial reason for booking?
A: I think as time goes by and we spend it in long-term connections with one person, our perspective of ourselves can change. Mine felt like it had changed dramatically in terms of how I felt about myself physically and sexually. So for me, booking was about getting a good look at myself from an unbiased source. Seeing where I am and what my effect is at this stage of my life.
Q: Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?
A: I tried not to have too many expectations. It was such a different experience, I didn’t want to cloud it by overthinking. I read over all the tips for preparing, which were great btw, and did what I felt I needed to do be ready. Then I just went and thought “Ok, whatever happens happens!”
Q: What was it like seeing your images for the first time?
A: I was trying to pretend I wasn’t a little nervous, but had to admit I was! The shoot had been the week before, and I didn’t know how well I had translated on camera. So when 65 images popped up on the screen, it was almost mesmerizing. I was astounded at how beautiful they were and the care that Rachel took with each and every one.
Q: Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?
A: It confirmed for me that any decrease in my sense of self that I might have been feeling was from negative outside influences. Internally I’m still very connected to my sexuality and the physicality of that, but externally there were disparities that made me question that. The boudoir session reinforced for me that I am still the best gauge of who I am as a woman and of my sexual appeal.
As a fifty-something woman that’s what I’d want to convey to younger women: Men do not define us sexually or otherwise. We are our own definitions. Trust yours.
Q: Would you recommend Rachel Jasmine Studio for the luxury boudoir experience to others?
A: Yes, I would. If it’s something you can do, do it!
Q: What advice would you give to another woman considering the boudoir experience with Rachel Jasmine Studio?
A: Do it for yourself. Indulge if you’re able. It really is a remarkable experience.
Q: Is there anything else you’d like to add to your interview?
A: Just to say thank you. I’m happy to be representative of women in their 50’s who still have good things happening! I’m glad to now be part of this community!
