Fun fact about Mel’s session? I totally fell off a bench mid-shot as I was directing her and bruised my ass. lol If anyone ever has an idea that I am “cool” from my social media presence, you’ll learn that I’m a clumsy goofball in person. I love that she just rolled with it. Which is honestly the theme of her entire experience with me! She came ready to just trust the process and let go of all the fear and anxiety that she had before arriving. Her gallery shows exactly that! Q: How did you first hear of Rachel Jasmine Studio and what made you want to book with us?

A: To be honest I am not even sure! I used to work with an old employee of RJS and she still raves about Rachel and her ridiculous skills. Of course I also stalked the IG and FB pages, because i was in awe of the pictures.

Q: What was your initial reason for booking?

A: I booked on an impulse. I have always had crappy self esteem. A touch of body dysmorphia. After see her amazing pieces of art I could not help myself. I wanted to really see myself from a different view than staring at the mirror or old crappy pictures. I had the pictures done for myself too and plan on booking another shoot in the near future!

Q: Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

A: I really had NO IDEA what to expect! I was so nervous that day and then pulling into the parking lot I thought I was going to puke due to my anxiety….Which by the way was completely alleviated the minute she stepped out of the door to greet me. I felt so at ease!! I could not stop laughing at times during my shoot. It was soooo much fun! Oh and funny. I am very glad that I did a lot of stretching prior to the shoot…I was still sore the next day though lol. Well worth it!!

Q: What was it like seeing your images for the first time?

A: The make-up artist was absolutely amazing. She managed to make the zit that appeared that morning to disappear. I was in complete shock! Rachel made me look HOTT!! Like REALLY HOTT!. This the first time I have EVER and I mean EVER described myself that way. Rachel is truly a magician and a master at her craft. I was absolutely speechless and shocked. I could not believe the person I was looking at was me. It looked like me, but I was just in utter shock that it was. Notice that I have been using the word shock a lot lol. I needed her help narrowing down the pictures. She truly is a professional

Q: What outfits did you purchase, and why do you think other women might love the same pieces?

A: Well, I am a nurse so I have nubs as nails so i did have a mani/pedi prior to the shoot. I am NOT good at buying lingerie for one. I will like what i see, but then when I put it on…and eh. I did bring along a nude and black seamless thongs. I also brought a lacey bra and matching cheeky panty piece that I wore. My other piece was from the client closet and let me tell you what. I would have never purchased the body suit that I picked out, but It was freaking hott! The way you pose and position yourself during the shoot are just WOW. Rachel will guide you though it. She does with them with you! Oh, and I chose the sheet for my last set. Those pictures were also AMAZING.

Q: Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?

A: OMG I definitely feel more confident and sexy once again. After 9 years and 70 lbs later I finally lost my baby weight lol and I can’t wait until I get my album. I feel like a strong, sexy woman once again instead of just a wife, mother, nurse, and now teacher.

Q: Would you recommend Rachel Jasmine Studio for the luxury boudoir experience to others?

A: Is this even a question? YESSS

Q: What advice would you give to another woman considering the boudoir experience with Rachel Jasmine Studio?

A: Just do it. You will not regret it. I am 41 and I never would have thought I would do something like this. I am kind of a shy person. Just do it!
