Q: How did you first hear of Rachel Jasmine Studio and what made you want to book with us?

A: I was researching boudoir photographers and came across RJS on social media. I was instantly drawn to the photos. You could could tell the day was special, with hair and makeup done and posed, but each image retained the spark of who that person was. That’s what made me want to book, that an experience could be created and I could still see myself reflected in the product.

Q: What was your initial reason for booking?

A: I’d spent so many years at war with my own body, what I thought it should look like and how to make it match this mold I thought I had to fit. I realized though, there isn’t a mold and my body was uniquely beautiful and told the story of who I was, and I wanted to celebrate that. I had also recently gotten married to a man who adored every inch of me, stretch mark to scar, and I wanted it to be a gift for him too.

Q: Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

A: I was initially nervous, but it faded really quickly. There is a vulnerability in doing a boudoir shoot that put me in an unsure place. Rachel was great though! I was immediately at ease and felt like I was working with someone who wanted to connect with me and give me the best possible experience.

Q: What was it like seeing your images for the first time?

A: Honestly I was stunned. It was clearly me, but a side of me that I’ve been keeping tucked away. The images were stunning and, I teared up. While I was sexy and celebrating the woman I’ve become, there were still so many parts of my personality in the photos too. It is truly art.

Q: Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?

A: I think it’s definitely reinforced my idea of just how to appreciate my body. Seeing it in a perspective where it’s strong yet soft, has given me so much more to be thankful to it for. In my line of work I always encourage women to love their bodies, but I really think I can fully embrace that myself after seeing it reflected in the images Rachel captured.

Q: Would you recommend Rachel Jasmine Studio for the luxury boudoir experience to others?

A: I would absolutely recommend it! From the moment I interacted with Rachel and her staff, I knee it was going to be great. It was everything I was hoping for in a boudoir experience.

Q: What advice would you give to another woman considering the boudoir experience with Rachel Jasmine Studio?

A: Don’t overthink it. Don’t question whether you look right for it or if your body is the right size, just take the leap. Rachel walks you through it all every step of the way and it’s the biggest confidence boost you could ask for. As a woman who takes care of others so much, please give this experience to yourself. You’ll be amazed at the outcome.
