Q: How did you first hear of Rachel Jasmine Studio and what made you want to book with us?

A: About 5-6 years ago, I actually won the grand prize during free tan weekend at Baja Beach and it was a free session with Rachel! Of course, you never think you will actually win but once they called me, I was ecstatic.

Q: What was your initial reason for booking?

A: I had a great experience my first shoot but otherwise, I wasn’t in a place where I was feeling super confident and would have booked at the time if I didn’t win. When the model call opportunity popped in my inbox, I figured hey, why not just try and see what happens? Within the next day or two I got an e-mail and was selected! I booked pretty quickly and only had a month or two to prepare but I was in a much better place mentally and confidence wise, it made it an even better experience this time around!

Q: Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

A: Returning felt pretty comfortable yet exciting. I don’t typically style my hair or wear much makeup, so Kristin’s magic with my makeup made me feel beautiful. I opted for loose waves/curls and a balance between natural and glam for makeup.

Q: What was it like seeing your images for the first time?

A: Anticipation is one thing, but the moments your image gallery is revealed leaves you speechless. I thought I was prepared—I wasn’t. These weren’t just photographs; they were revelations of a woman I’d always been but rarely recognized. Every image told a story I didn’t know my body could tell.

Q: Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?

A: There’s a before and after to this experience—not just in photographs but in how I carry myself through the world. My daily battle with insecurities hasn’t vanished, but now I have visual proof to counter every self-critical thought. These images serve as powerful reminders of confidence. The gallery became a mirror reflecting a truth I’d been running from: I am, quite simply, enough.
