Our generation is beginning to see a massive shift in body representation in advertising. We live in a world surrounded by diversity, it only makes sense that advertising and media influence embrace that. But we’ve still got a long way to go. I am immensely proud of all of my curvy clients who step forward and decide to be the change and allow themselves to exist in stunning and intimate portraits.

It starts with us. The people. That we demand more of large corporate marketing firms. We need to shout that all bodies are beautiful and worthy of representation. It’s okay if a model has some extra in her tummy- in fact, for me it will help me see how the garment lays on a body like mine!

Amanda absolutely stepped into her power as a gorgeous and fierce woman and gave herself permission to define her beauty on her own terms. AKA…. she slayed. Check out her gorgeous images and what she had to say about her boudoir experience!

Q: How did you first hear of Rachel Jasmine Studio and what made you want to book with us?

A: I know Rachel through my husband. He knew her from high school. He saw that she made a boudoir studio and told me. Eventually, I followed the VIP group on Facebook. I have always loved the pictures and was blown away by Rachels’s talent. I mainly booked after watching Rachel complete her own boudoir photos. As a bigger girl, I was a little apprehensive. But seeing Rachel strut her stuff broke all my excuses.

Q: What was your initial reason for booking?

A: I originally booked because I had lost a lot of confidence. I wanted to work on building it. And I wanted to break my comfort Zone. And help build my confidence

Q: Do you have a “expectation vs reality” story to tell about your shoot?

A: I watched a few behind the scenes of some of Rachel’s other boudoir photoshoots. I knew Rachel was going to be very encouraging and this was true. Even though I was a bit nervous about some of the outfits She totally made my confidence soar.

Q: What was it like seeing your images for the first time?

A: I was blown away by my images and it was very hard to just pick 15 pictures for my albums.

Q: Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?

A: As a curvy woman looking at my pictures made me be like wow who is that. I told Rachel and all my friends that I felt like a model. I am proud of being a part of the sexy girls you see on Rachels’s website.

Q: Would you recommend Rachel Jasmine Studio for the luxury boudoir experience to others?

A: I already started recommending Rachel’s studio to others. I am excited to represent those curvy mamas that may be a little worried about how they look in the mirror.

Q: What advice would you give to another woman considering the boudoir experience with Rachel Jasmine Studio?

A: Just do it. It is so worth the money. They take their time with makeup and hair and make you look amazing. Then Rachel is so kind even when your way out of your normal comfort zone. In the end, I was so comfortable that I didn’t even mind that I was nude in some of my shots.

Q: Is there anything else you’d like to add to your interview?

A: I am not a makeup and hair type of girl. I normally don’t style my hair. If I do wear makeup I don’t wear a lot of it. Amanda did amazing. When I looked in the mirror I was blown away. The makeup was not heavy or too much. My hair stayed way till after my session even though I thought my beachy curls might fade. I absolutely loved everything about my makeover.
