Lauren came in for her second boudoir shoot with me recently! Her first shoot was just weeks after we had moved into our current studio at the Catherine St. Lofts.
Fun fact: she is in only client so far who has ever ordered an all black and white album! We had sooooo many incredible black and white images that during her design consultation, we decided to commit to the concept and go for it. Zero regrets. In fact, I kind of want to steal it back- that’s how much i love her album! lol
Round two really brought out the mood. I am most known for my work as a natural light boudoir photographer, but I have begun incorporating strobes and artificial light to add some ambiance and give the boudoir bedroom a new look and feel.
Every image you’ll see here was shot using various methods of artificial light!

Q: How did you first hear of Rachel Jasmine Studio and what made you want to book a boudoir shoot with us?
A: I came across Rachel’s Instagram account about 2-3 years ago and I just fell in love with her work and how beautiful the women in them looked. I knew that I wanted to see myself the way I saw those women. It pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and I was super excited about trying something new!
Q: What was your initial reason for booking a boudoir session?
A: I booked my first shoot with Rachel to celebrate being a cancer warrior! I wanted this shoot to help me celebrate everything that my body had went through during that time of change. I wanted to see my body in a new light and from someone else’s point of view. I always wanted to be a model so I had to do a shoot! I felt beautiful with my hair and makeup done, and Rachel helped me pick out the perfect outfits for my body type.
Q: Did you have any expectations going into your boudoir shoot? What were they?
A: Going into this shoot I was very nervous but also excited because I have never done anything like this before! After looking at Rachel’s work I knew I was in great hands. Rachel and her team are so supportive, fun, and positive people to be around.
Q: What was it like seeing your intimate boudoir gallery and images for the first time?
A: I was nervous to see my face and body on the big screen but it was fun and exciting seeing the final product! I knew I had to come back again. After seeing the photos for the first time, I was in awe. The photos turned out so beautiful and I looked SO good!
Q: What products did you purchase, and why do you think other women might love the same art pieces?
A: I purchased the online gallery but a black leather book with 20 photos. I also was able to pick the white sheet for an outfit which I loved. I highly recommend doing the white sheet! I felt so sexy and confident doing the shoot!
Q: Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?
A: So much has changed for the better since this boudoir experience and seeing my gallery! I felt that I could express myself more confidently in the real world! Growing up, especially as a young woman in today’s society, I always felt that I was not beautiful enough. After the photo shoot, I left feeling so empowered. I love who I am and I love how Rachel is so encouraging and really is my hype woman.
Q: Would you recommend Rachel Jasmine Studio for the luxury boudoir experience to others?
A: I would totally recommend Rachel Jasmine Studio for the luxury boudoir experience to others! Everything about this shoot went perfectly! I felt amazing, I looked amazing, and the photos came out amazing! You come into the shoot questioning if it’s for you then you leave feeling like the main character.
Q: What advice would you give to another woman considering the boudoir experience with Rachel Jasmine Studio?
A: The advice I would give to other women would be to never be afraid to get out of your comfort zone. This photoshoot allowed me to express myself in a way I would not normally do on a day to day basis. I felt beautiful, strong, and confident. I am grateful to have taken this opportunity since I am on a whole other level of confidence that I would have never thought I’d be on!
